John Newman and Daphne Palmer formed Newpalm in 1970 and it quickly became established as one of the U.K.'s
leading theatrical production companies. In addition to being partners in Newpalm Productions, John and Daphne have
extensive backgrounds and careers in various areas of the theatre and entertainment, as actors, directors and producers.
They have been theatre producers for thirty years and John is a member of the Society of West End Theatre Managers and the Theatre Management Association; he is a member of both of their Equity Committees and the TMA Industrial Relations Committee. He is also a director of the Theatre Investment Fund and the Theatre Council as well as being on the TMA Council. Membership of these two Associations ensures an intimate business relationship with all West End and Touring Producers as well as a knowledge of what is happening within all areas of the theatre industry. Newpalm has presented hundreds of touring productions in the UK and overseas in Canada and Hong Kong as well as in London's West End.
